Church Hill, Kingsnorth and Finn Farm Road, Kingsnorth

Pope Street, Godmersham

Pope Street, Godmersham will be closed from 22^nd July 2024, for up to one day.

The road will be closed in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Hampton Lane, Brabourne

Hampton Lane, Brabourne will be closed from 23^rd July 2024, for up to one day.

The road will be closed from Plumpton to Brabourne Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way, Bulltown Lane, Plumpton and vice versa.

Speed restrictions

It will be necessary to impose a 40 mph speed limit on the approach to, and then a 20mph speed limit through, working sites on various roads in Ashford, as detailed below:-

Woodchurch Road, Bethersden – the speed restrictions will be in place from 8^th July 2024, with estimated completion by 16^th July 2024, between the junctions of the A28 Ashford Road and May Shaves.

Church Hill, Kingsnorth and Finn Farm Road, Kingsnorth – the speed restrictions will be in place from 8^th July 2024, with estimated completion by 16^th July 2024, between the junctions of Bond Lane and Finn Farm Road.

Woodchurch Road, Tenterden – the speed restrictions will be in place from 9^th July 2024, with estimated completion by 17^th July 2024, between the junctions of Knockwood Close and Preston Lane.

Appledore Road, Stone and Ferry Road, Appledore – the speed restrictions will be in place from 9^th July 2024, with estimated completion by 17^th July 2024, between the junctions of the B2080 Tenterden Road and Catts Hill.

Bull Lane, Bethersden – the speed restrictions will be in place from 10^th July 2024, with estimated completion by 18^th July 2024, between the junctions of Pot Kiln Lane and the A28 Ashford Road.

Etchden Road, Bethersden – the speed restrictions will be in place from 10^th July 2024, with estimated completion by 18^th July 2024, between the junctions of Fridd Lane and Bears Lane.

Kent County Council – Temporary Road Closures and Temporary 40 mph & 20 mph Speed Restrictions – Various Roads, Ashford – Preservation Treatments – 18th March 2024 (Ashford District)

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of various Roads in Ashford.

This Order takes effect on or after 18th March 2024, for a period of up to 18 months, or until works have been completed. It may be necessary for some of the roads to be closed for multiple occasions for each phase of the works. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works on One.Network and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start.

After the surface treatment works, a temporary speed limit of 40 mph & 20 mph may need to be imposed on certain roads for a period of up to 7 days. Where the 40 mph & 20 mph speed restriction does apply, this will be clearly indicated by relevant signs displayed on site.

These works are subject to weather and other factors which may potentially cause changes at short notice; every effort will be made to keep as close as possible to the planned dates that are notified, and any changes will be publicised.
