European
Sculpture Path
Comes to Bethersden
9th – 15th July
A unique opportunity to watch international artists create permanent sculptures that will become part of the European Sculpture Path and a lasting legacy for Bethersden.
Over the course of one week, artists will work in the village using locally sourced timber to create large contemporary sculptures that celebrate community, collaboration and unity.
Visitors will have the rare opportunity to watch the creative process unfold, see the artists at work and witness the creation of something that will remain in Bethersden for years to come.
The finished sculptures will be installed in The George Field later this summer, becoming a permanent community asset and an official part of the European Sculpture Path.
A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY. ONE WEEK ONLY
Watch international artists create permanent sculptures in Bethersden from 9th – 15th July, before they take their place in the George Field as part of the European Sculpture Path
WHAT IS HAPPENING
Bringing Europe to Bethersden
Bethersden has been selected as the newest location on the European Sculpture Path.
This exciting opportunity comes through an artist who lived locally many years ago and is now part of a network of European artists working together to create public sculptures that celebrate creativity, community and cultural exchange.
Between 9th and 15th July, artists will be working in Bethersden using locally sourced timber to create large contemporary sculptures.
The sculptures will be created here in the village before being moved later in the summer to their permanent home in The George Field.
This is a unique opportunity for Bethersden to become part of an established European cultural project whilst creating something special for the local community to enjoy for many years to come.
