As a matter of courtesy we wanted to let you know the following regarding this year’s Ashford For You/Christmas waste collection schedule
Ashford For You will start hitting homes next week (16 October) and it includes this year’s Christmas waste collections. I’ve attached a PDF of the pages and table for reference.
Refuse collections due to take place Monday 25 December will be brought forward to Saturday 23 December. This is due to the fact that KCC have made the decision to close the transfer station Christmas and Boxing day this year.
Garden waste collections are suspended the week commencing Monday 25 December and Monday 1 January (it is suspended during this period as per terms and conditions of the subscription) and will resume on residents normal collection day from Tuesday 9 January. The residents who would be due a garden waste collection on Monday 8 January will be sent an email directly in the next couple of weeks informing them that as garden waste collections on Monday 8 January will not be taking place we have arranged for their garden waste subscription to be extended by one additional collection. This will be done automatically and there is no need to contact us.
We are making you aware in case any of your residents contact you with any queries. If a resident contacts you and believes they should have received an email regarding garden waste collections on Monday 8 January, please ask them to get in contact with customer services or email street.scene@ashford.gov.uk
