Fencing bordering The George Field
Hi Alastair,
As Robin discussed with you yesterday, we have an urgent need to repair and renew the fencing bordering The George Field from The George Pub itself, so it’s appropriate the Parish Council have advanced sight of the proposed fencing changes which are attached. Key points to note;- A new ‘post and rail’ fence at the end of both the beer garden and games area, bordering the George Field. This should provide a wonderful viewing aspect for both customers in The George and villagers walking in George Field
- A gate between the Games Area and The George Field. This will be locked by default, and only unlocked by the General Manager for specific events where we have agreed with the Parish Council for 2-way access between the Pub and the Field. You’ll note this gate is only accessible via the Games Area, which itself will be locked during the evening and when not in use.
As we have discussed improving the viewing aspect across the George Field and the Pub many times over the last few years as well as providing a gate to the Field, we trust that the Parish Council will be excited about these changes. However, if you do wish to discuss it further, please let us know. We’re happy to meet on site if needed.
Best regards,
Alex
